NFL Draft rumors: Browns interested in pairing DE Bradley Chubb with Myles Garrett

The Browns hold a lot of power at this year’s NFL Draft, and they are exploring every option.

With the No. 1 and No. 4 overall picks later this month, Cleveland has a number of different options. It appears targeting another edge rusher may be near the top of its list.

The Browns are exploring the possibility of selecting NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb with the first-overall pick to pair him with last year’s top pick — Myles Garrett.

Lovullo has 99 wins in his first 170 games and is trying to become the fastest active manager to 100 wins, which would eclipse Ron Gardenhire, who needed 173 games in 2002-2003 with Minnesota. Gardenhire now manages Detroit.

Diamondbacks: Claimed RHP Troy Scribner off of waivers from Anaheim and designated OF Jeremy Hazelbaker for assignment.

Cardinals: RHP Luke Gregerson (left hamstring strain) was assigned to Class A Palm Beach for a rehab assignment and is scheduled to pitch Saturday night.

Arizona RHP Taijuan Walker (0-0, 5.40 ERA) will face RHP Luke Weaver (1-0, 1.80 ERA) in the finale of a three-game set. A snow/rain mix is in the forecast.

Dr. Mark Urken, Head and Neck Surgeon at Mount Sinai West, confirmed in a statement that Kelly had left intensive care.

“Mr. Kelly continues to make solid progress in his recovery from extensive surgery for his oral cancer,” Urken said. “He has been moved out of the intensive care unit and made that transition by walking, on his own, from the unit to the inpatient floor where he will continue the next phase of care. He is still several days away from resuming swallowing and taking nutrition by mouth.”

“Things will get better and it starts with me,” Eichel said. “Everybody needs to look at themselves and figure out what they’re doing. Obviously, whatever I’ve been doing hasn’t been working. What we’ve been doing as a team hasn’t been working.”

While the Sabres are done, their AHL Rochester Americans affiliate qualified for the playoffs for the first time in four years. The Americans feature several Sabres prospects being counted upon to play in Buffalo full-time next season, including forward Alexander Nylander, defenseman Brendan Guhle and goalie Linus Ullmark.buccaneers_006
